High School Faith Formation is offered to high school students, grades 9 through 11, to prepare them for the Sacrament of Confirmation as Juniors. We at St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Clare Parishes are excited about setting souls on fire for God!

Session Options:
Sunday 9:30 AM -11:30 AM at St. Clare (Includes Mass)
Sunday 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at St. Thomas (Includes Mass)
Wednesday 6:00 - 7:00 PM at St. Thomas
Since we do not offer Mass on Wednesday, it is assumed you will attend a Mass of your choosing.

ATTENDANCE & MAKE-UP POLICY
We generously offer make-up policies to ensure that you don’t miss any opportunities. Regardless of how good of a student, athlete or how detail-oriented, hardworking or diligent you are, we understand if you are ill or have an emergency, you may miss a class.

Why does missing a class matter?  Your absence signals your Confirmation is not a priority.

What am I actually missing?  An opportunity to demonstrate your desire to be confirmed in your faith.  You are missing important lectures, classroom discussion and community faith building. We notice when you are not in class.

Your attendance record is made available for review.  Don’t let a missed class affect your standing. Your teachers take valuable time away from their families to be here for you. Show them your gratitude by participating in class.

What happens if I’m sick or have an emergency?  We understand sometimes people get sick or have an emergency.  We have three different sessions (see options above) to help you stay on track. If one of these sessions does not work because of an emergency, let’s talk and arrange a time for a separate session to make up any class you missed.

REPAIRERS OF THE BREACH PERMISSION SLIP

ANNUAL REACH OUT SESSIONS
Reach Out Sessions 2025 will be held during class on December 7th. At this heartwarming event, Faith Formation dives into our Reach Out program—a wonderful initiative designed to bring families together for a meaningful cause. We come together to prepare meals, decorate cookies, and assemble blessing bags filled with essentials for those in need. We also create cozy fleece blankets and heartfelt cards to brighten the lives of our recipients. Our mission is to raise awareness about the challenges faced by those in our community who are disadvantaged. Join us as we share love, compassion, and the joy of giving back!

REPAIRERS OF THE BREACH
Repairers of the Breach, located in Milwaukee, was established in 1991 as a nonprofit organization, with a focus on communications projects advocating with and for people experiencing homelessness. In 1994, they began offering Milwaukee's first daytime homeless resource center. Our teens will have the opportunity to volunteer on a Saturday, there will be two dates available. This unique daytime shelter provides essential services like literacy classes, medical assistance, showers, and even a place to rest—a brief refuge from the harsh streets. Many of the guests know their choices led them here; others have simply fallen on hard times or through society’s cracks.

DONATIONS NEEDED
St. Clare & St. Thomas teens will serve two meals at the homeless shelter. A total of 280 (140 per trip). We're also creating 150 Blessing Bags with small comfort items that bring warmth, dignity, and hope. Food service dates are January 10th and February 14th, but the food we prepare will be frozen until then. Donations of food and supplies for blessing bags, which you can purchase via our Amazon Wish List anytime, can be dropped off at either parish office (mark them "Reach Out"). Donations are due by December 7th. Thank you for your generosity!

SERVICE DAYS 2025
Repairers of the Breach 2025 service days are January 10th and February 14th. Traditionally we visit in October and December, but recent double-bookings, and the shelter’s increased need after Christmas, have shifted our timing. This is a great blessing since donations and support slow down significantly after the holidays, and our presence is especially appreciated.

Meeting Location & Time
Please arrive at St. Clare (7616 Fritz Street, Wind Lake) by 9:30 AM.
We will depart no later than 10:00 AM for:
Repairers of the Breach
1335 W. Vliet Street
Milwaukee, WI 53205
What We’ll Be Doing: Serve lunch, assist with tasks as needed (these vary each visit), engage in conversations with the members and listen to their stories. We'll take a guided tour of the facility and learn how the shelter is run, primarily by individuals who were once homeless themselves. Conversations may feel a little awkward at first, but please know that being seen and heard is deeply meaningful for the community members we’ll meet. Your presence truly matters.
Important Safety Note: No teen may go anywhere in the building—including delivering food to the second floor—without an adult present. We will need adults to supervise and support the students throughout the visit.
Group Size: We can bring no more than 15 people, so space is limited.
Adults Attending: If you are an adult who would like to join us, please indicate this on the permission slip and reserve your spot on the SignUp Genius link below.

This is great prep for the Mission Trip! The experience is especially beneficial for any student attending, or considering, the mission trip to Duluth.
