Please join the Knights council 8172 in congratulating Ed and Mary Ellen Slovak as our St. Thomas Parishioners of the Month for May! Mary Ellen and Ed joined St Thomas in 1972 when they relocated from Milwaukee to Waterford. They have two sons, both of whom graduated from STA. Their service to St Thomas began in their early years as parishioners. Mary Ellen volunteered at the school and coordinated a learning center for six years. Ed was active with the Country Fair in both set up and clean up. He was a parish council member and a proud founding member of Knights Council 8172. They have worked fish fry’s for many years. Ed as a baker, fish cutter and prep; Mary Ellen in the dining room and also doing prep. She was a lector and Eucharistic minister, and both of them were collection counters for the parish. Even after all these years, they stay active as greeters at Sunday Mass. They hold St Thomas with great affection and are grateful to be members along with so many wonderful friends in a terrific community. Please congratulate them, and thank them for all they did and still do to make St. Thomas a vibrant and welcoming parish community.
