Please join Knights Council 8172 in congratulating Dan & Sue Riedel as St. Thomas Parishioners of the Month for August! Dan and Sue grew up in Cudahy and were members of St. Sylvester and St. Joseph parishes. Soon after getting married, they moved to South Milwaukee, built a home and began their family life. They joined St. Adalbert parish and raised three sons who also attended school there. Sue and Dan were very active in various parish and school activities, running the gamut from fish fries, multiple fundraisers, the Athletic Association and Boy Scouts. They moved to Mukwonago in 2013 and became members of St. Thomas Aquinas. Two of their sons were married at St. Thomas by Fr. Gene. They soon got involved with our parish, becoming active at fish fries, Dan as an AV minister and Sue as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. Both have recently retired and hope to expand their volunteering efforts within St. Thomas. Dan and Sue expressed their happiness with being a part of the St. Thomas parish community and to quote them, “we feel like family here.” Please congratulate the Riedels for this selection, and thank them for being active and dedicated members of the parish.
