Exceptional Chorus Christmas Program, Saturday, October 19th, 1 pm at St. Thomas. Knights Council 8172 has been supporting the chorus for many years as a part of our ongoing efforts on behalf of improving the lives of intellectually challenged individuals. The chorus is always entertaining and lively, so please join us in support of this worthy cause. This is a free event, donations accepted.

It's time to remove summer decorations. If you have any items you would like to save and re-use, please remove them by Wednesday, October 30th. This includes shepherd hooks, statues, plant holders and any other memorials. ALL remaining summer decorations will be removed and discarded. With All Souls' Day and Christmas nearing, be reminded that pumpkins/gourds, Christmas trees and Christmas blankets are NOT permitted. Click here to view the cemetery regulations for more details as to what is acceptable. Please refrain from placing Christmas arrangements/memorials until after December 1st. For the ninth year in a row, St. Clare's Human Concerns Committee is participating in Fr. Al's House of Peace Holiday Food Boxes project. We will collect donations and send one check directly to the House of Peace for distribution of food to 500 qualifying households for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Each box costs about $40 to make. Any donation amount is appreciated! Please make checks payable to St. Clare Parish and write “Food Boxes” on the memo line. There will be special envelopes and a collection box in the Narthex. Our goal is to raise enough to fill 200 boxes! Donations must be received by October 27th.

October 26 & 27: Bags distributed after all Masses. November 2 & 3: Donations Collected. The Knights of Columbus annual food drive for the St. Thomas Food Pantry is November 2nd-3rd. Please donate canned fruit, canned meats, soup etc. All non-food items such as dish soap, laundry detergent, toilet paper and other paper products are also needed, gas gift cards and cash are welcome too. Please return bags with your donations to the Gathering Space. Your generosity and support in preparation for the coming Holiday Season is much appreciated. God Bless!

If you're interested in bringing the Eucharist to the homebound of our parishes, please consider joining our Ministry to the Homebound. Ministers are scheduled for visits to one or two individuals/couples every other Sunday. A short prayer service is offered, which ends with distribution of the Eucharist. Additionally, weekday services are offered to those residing at Waterford Senior Living and Elder Care Cottages. If you have questions, want to sign up or know of someone who would like to receive the Eurcharist on Sundays, please contact Deacon Jim at 262-930-0127. A training session will be organized for new ministers.

Please join Knights Council 8172 in congratulating Pat McPhetridge as the St. Thomas Parishioner of the Month for October! Pat has been a very active member of St. Thomas Parish for 21 years and for those who attend 8 AM Mass, you'll see him assisting as an acolyte. The list of activities he is involved with is quite expansive and includes his participation with the teen mission trips and volunteering at the Wild Game dinners, Country Fairs and parish Fish Fry’s. He also sings with the choir, serves as a Eucharistic Minister and helps out with Faith Formation and the RCIA program. That’s a lot of commitment! Pat enjoys being outdoors and has two daughters in college. To quote Pat, "I thoroughly enjoy the parish community." Please congratulate him, and thank him for all he does to make St. Thomas a vibrant parish community.

Get your game on and join us! Cards and shufflers provided, feel free to bring your own games too! Learn a new game, teach others your favorite, or challenge a fellow pro! Each table decides which game to play. Every Friday beginning October 18th, St. Clare’s Holy Family Hall, 9:30 AM - Noon. There will be two tables of Sheepshead based on ability level and a group of beginners. Water, coffee and limited snacks available, carry-ins welcome, bring a snack to share! Cost is free! Bring a friend!

On TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 19th from 6 - 8 PM, our neighbor B-Lazy (7922 S. Loomis Rd) is generously holding a fundraiser to benefit St. Clare - raising money for our HVAC system. 50% of all proceeds will go to St. Clare. Tickets are $50 (cash only) for 5 - 1oz. pours of the bourbon of your choice! Giveaways, Rare Bourbon, & Bottle Raffles! Come anytime between 6 & 8 pm to sample at your own pace. Tickets will be sold after Masses at St. Clare beginning the weekend of November 2/3, and at St. Thomas beginning the weekend of November 9/10. Join us for Women's Wellness classes in the St. Thomas Uhen Center Tuesdays & Thursdays, 8:45 - 9:45 AM, October 1 thru December 12. This class is a fun combination of Tai Chi, exploration of movement, and breathwork. It focuses on improving balance, breathing, relaxation, and increasing freedom of movement.
