A Jubilee Celebration of Service - Community Outreach Opportunity. As we continue to celebrate our 175th jubilee year at St. Thomas, giving back to our community has always been a cornerstone of our mission. To continue this mission, we are looking for volunteers to help do light yard work for a few community members/parishioners. Bring the family, a friend, or classmates and volunteer for one or both dates. The work will only be a couple of hours and may include raking, pulling weeds, etc. Please consider donating a little time to those in need. You’re invited to a six-week grief support program, “Healing with Faith & Friends.” We meet every Friday for six weeks, beginning October 9th at 10 AM in the St. Thomas lower level, enter Door #3, on Second Street, go downstairs (or use the lift). Learn coping skills for processing feelings in a healthy way. While the grief process can be difficult, better days are ahead. Come and receive hope, support and understanding in a safe environment. Autumn is here! It's time to remove the summer decorations. Please remove all decorations by Wednesday, October 28th. Remove any items you’d like to save and re-use (shepherd hooks, statues, plant holders etc.) All remaining summer decorations will be discarded. Just a reminder, with All Souls' Day and Christmas approaching, pumpkins/gourds, Christmas trees and blankets are NOT permitted. Our Knights' council will be sponsoring the Exceptional Chorus out of Milwaukee again this year as part of our support for the special needs community. This is our fifth year of sponsorship.
