As part of this Jubilee Year, we invite St. Thomas parish families to take part in a special candle lighting during the annual Mass of Remembrance on November 14th. Families may light a candle to honor their loved ones across generations, who were part of our parish community and have gone before us. One candle will be provided per family. Sign-up is required. A sign-up sheet will be available in the Gathering Space.

Help keep the shelves stocked this fall! As the seasons turn and cooler days settle in, many of our neighbors begin to feel the strain of rising food costs and tighter household budgets. Norway Helping Hands Food Pantry continues to be a lifeline for families in our community, and your generosity makes that possible month after month. October’s Item of the Month is Hamburger Helper / Rice Helper. Items most needed include: Canned fruit, tomatoes, corn and green beans. Applesauce, Macaroni & Cheese and pasta sauce. Every donation large or small, helps fill a shelf, and a heart. Your kindness directly supports families right here in our community. Thank you, together we make sure no neighbor goes without a warm meal.

For the 11th consecutive year, St. Clare is participating in Fr. Al's House of Peace Holiday Food Boxes. We will collect donations and send one check directly to the House of Peace for distribution of food to 500 qualifying households for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Any donation amount is appreciated! Please make checks payable to St. Clare Parish and write “Food Boxes” on the memo line. There will be envelopes and a collection box in the Narthex. Donations must be received by November 1st. Thank you!

A Jubilee Celebration of Service - Community Outreach Opportunity. As we continue to celebrate our 175th jubilee year at St. Thomas, giving back to our community has always been a cornerstone of our mission. To continue this mission, we are looking for volunteers to help do light yard work for a few community members/parishioners. Bring the family, a friend, or classmates and volunteer for one or both dates. The work will only be a couple of hours and may include raking, pulling weeds, etc. Please consider donating a little time to those in need. You’re invited to a six-week grief support program, “Healing with Faith & Friends.” We meet every Friday for six weeks, beginning October 9th at 10 AM in the St. Thomas lower level, enter Door #3, on Second Street, go downstairs (or use the lift). Learn coping skills for processing feelings in a healthy way. While the grief process can be difficult, better days are ahead. Come and receive hope, support and understanding in a safe environment. Autumn is here! It's time to remove the summer decorations. Please remove all decorations by Wednesday, October 28th. Remove any items you’d like to save and re-use (shepherd hooks, statues, plant holders etc.) All remaining summer decorations will be discarded. Just a reminder, with All Souls' Day and Christmas approaching, pumpkins/gourds, Christmas trees and blankets are NOT permitted. Please see the parish website for more details on cemetery regulations and what is acceptable. Christmas decorations can be placed after December 1st. Thank you and blessings to you and yours!

Hospitality after Mass - You can be a host! Hospitality weekends are the third weekend of each month. Parishioners gather to enjoy conversation and community with one another. This is especially important for new and prospective members to feel welcome and strengthen relationships within our parish community. Parish families, groups or ministries are invited to host! Offer snacks and beverages after Mass in the gathering space for parishioners to enjoy as they exit. Sign up for one Mass or more! The total time commitment is only 45 minutes.
