Tuesday, October 7th at 6:30 pm, St. Clare. The Wind and Water Elizabeth Ministry is hosting a special Infant Memorial Mass. Honoring and remembering all babies lost to miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion, and newborn death. Please join us for comfort, prayer, and support. Whether the loss was recent or years ago, your baby deserves to be remembered and honored by our faith community. A keepsake will be given to all families who attend. Our Elizabeth Ministry offers the opportunity to honor infant loss by customizing a brick paver to be placed in front of the memorial garden in the St. Thomas cemetery. By sharing in our memorial site, you provide encouragement for yourself and others seeking peace and solace there. A brick can be purchased and personalized for a family member to honor miscarriage, abortion, stillbirth or any child loss. Bricks are $50 each to cover the cost of the engraving. Pleaes join Knights Council 8172 in congratulating Neal Ellenberg as our September Parishioners of the Month! Katie and Neal have been members of St. Thomas parish for over 20 years and their children, Trevor and Holly, attended and graduated from St. Thomas Grade School. The Ellenberg family has a long history of volunteering for both the parish and the school. In addition to their participation in the music ministry for weekend Masses, Katie provided music for many school Masses and initiated a children's choir shortly after the new church was built, and Neal coordinated the annual school talent show. They both taught for many years; Neal as a substitute teacher for St. Thomas and Katie as a Faith Formation teacher for high school juniors.  

Additionally, they have served on various school and church committees and assisted with events such as fish fries, hospitality, senior prom night and the Country Fair. Katie is currently the Liturgical Music Director, and Neal is a volunteer musician, primarily playing piano for the choir Masses. They are honored to have been chosen as the family of the month for September. Please congratulate and thank the Ellenbergs for their many contributions to St. Thomas and the community.

You’re invited to a six-week grief support program, “Healing with Faith & Friends.” Every Friday for six weeks, beginning September 12th at 10 AM in the St. Thomas School Hall - Knights Room. Enter Door #3, on 2nd Street, go downstairs (or use the lift). Learn coping skills for processing feelings in a healthy way. While the grief process can be difficult, better days are ahead. Hospitality after Mass - You can be a host! Hospitality weekends are the third weekend of each month. Parishioners gather to enjoy conversation and community with one another. This is especially important for new and prospective members to feel welcome and strengthen relationships within our parish community. Parish families, groups or ministries are invited to host! Offer snacks and beverages after Mass in the gathering space for parishioners to enjoy as they exit. Sign up for one Mass or more! The total time commitment is only 45 minutes.
