An Advent wreath with four candles is a tradition in the Catholic Church. As Christmas draws near, one candle is lit each week to represent Jesus coming as the light into the darkness. Candles will be lit at the Saturday evening and Sunday morning Masses at both churches. Parishioners (individuals, families, couples) are invited to light the Advent candles each week. Sign up sheets are located in St. Clare's narthex and St. Thomas' gathering space.

Kim and [ ... ]Please join Knights Council 8172 in congratulating the Ligocki family as our December Parishioners of the month! Kim and BJ were the second couple to be married in the new church in 2007 with Fr. Gene. BJ attended school at St. Thomas and has been a lifelong member. Kim joined the parish after going through RCIA. They have volunteered at the Country Fair, taught Confirmation classes, baked for funeral receptions, read as Lectors, and served on the Parish Council and Finance Committee. They have two children, Maddie and Cam who attend school at Burlington Catholic and enjoy serving at Mass and also being a Lector. Both kids are playing basketball for their school, and are active in other sports throughout the year. Please thank BJ and Kim for their service to St Thomas and for helping to make a welcoming and active parish community.
