Saturday & Sunday | September 19 & 20th | After all Masses. BlestArt will be at St. Clare and St. Thomas on behalf of the Christian families in Bethlehem, Palestine. Their mission is to support those families in the Holy Land. Offering hand-carved nativity sets, statues, crosses, rosaries, and many other pieces of beautiful olive wood art. Cash, checks, and all major credit cards accepted.

The St. Clare Human Concerns Committee is hosting a Love Inc Meal on Wednesday, September 23rd. Volunteers are needed to donate food and help serve. This ministry depends on the generosity of others. Monetary donations are also greatly appreciated from those who are unable to contribute food or time. Donations help to purchase ingredients necessary to provide warm and nourishing meals. There is sign-up sheet and donation box located in the narthex.

Help keep the shelves stocked this fall! As the seasons turn and cooler days settle in, many of our neighbors begin to feel the strain of rising food costs and tighter household budgets. Norway Helping Hands Food Pantry continues to be a lifeline for families in our community, and your generosity makes that possible month after month. October’s Item of the Month is Hamburger Helper / Rice Helper. Items most needed include: Canned fruit, tomatoes, corn and green beans. Applesauce, Macaroni & Cheese and pasta sauce. Every donation large or small, helps fill a shelf, and a heart. Your kindness directly supports families right here in our community. Thank you, together we make sure no neighbor goes without a warm meal.

A Jubilee Celebration of Service - Community Outreach Opportunity. As we continue to celebrate our 175th jubilee year at St. Thomas, giving back to our community has always been a cornerstone of our mission. To continue this mission, we are looking for volunteers to help do light yard work for a few community members/parishioners. Bring the family, a friend, or classmates and volunteer for one or both dates. The work will only be a couple of hours and may include raking, pulling weeds, etc. Please consider donating a little time to those in need. You’re invited to a six-week grief support program, “Healing with Faith & Friends.” We meet every Friday for six weeks, beginning October 9th at 10 AM in the St. Thomas lower level, enter Door #3, on Second Street, go downstairs (or use the lift). Learn coping skills for processing feelings in a healthy way. While the grief process can be difficult, better days are ahead. Come and receive hope, support and understanding in a safe environment.
